Nancy Goodspeed Launches GOODIE COOKIE(TM)
Former Spokane TV anchorwoman and public relations professional, Nancy Goodspeed,
has launched a new business, GOODIE COOKIE(TM) Enterprises, marketing gift kits with
a baking theme, keyed to seasons, celebrations, holidays and lifestyles. Products
include 'toys and treats' kits for dog lovers, holiday hostess gift kits, and a giant, pizza
size cookie kit, to name just a few.
GOODIE COOKIE(TM) gift kits are available via Goodspeed's www.goodiecookie.com Internet virtual store. Eventually the products will be sold through direct sales representatives with a rep program planned for early 2006.
"Giving work-at-home-Mom's an option to do something they love, while making extra money for their families is something I support whole-heartedly," Goodspeed said.
"There are tens of thousands of working mothers in the U.S. who are affiliated with
direct sales organizations. GOODIE COOKIE(TM) will give them another innovative
product line to expand into their respective markets."
The idea for the first GOODIE COOKIE(TM) product, the pizza size cookie, came from
a focus on marketing a gift kit on eBay, and grew from there.
"I love the fact that this is a virtual business. I can live wherever I like and market to those who know me," Goodspeed said. "The Internet offers so many possibilities,
including virtual home parties and other means of displaying and marketing products
that could never be seen before and now are seen by millions of people. I expect
GOODIE COOKIE(TM) to do great things."
Goodspeed comes from a family of entrepreneurs. Her Dad had his first small business right out of high school and together with her Mom ultimately ran six small businesses in Montana. Her brother, Lee, had his first business when he was in junior high, which was one of five small businesses he developed. So, Nancy is truly following in the family tradition.
Goodspeed was the first TV anchorwoman in Spokane, a position she held at KHQ-TV
from 1975-1984. In recent years she has provided professional public relations services
to many companies and organizations including Avista Corp., Packet Engines, The Rockey Company, River Park Square, Pacific Science Center and Leadership Spokane.
